The more you write, the more proficient you become. The more you learn how to write, the better writer you will be.
This is why K-J provides simple, informative writing techniques, alongside her editorial suggestions to enable you to become a better writer.
Students can often get caught up in the desire for better grades, which is commendable, but, it's not the only purpose for having your essays proofread or edited. In fact, Australian Universities have strict guidelines that editors and proofreaders must comply with.
Therefore, K-J's responsibility to you when proofreading your essay is to identify grammatical errors and suggest changes to punctuation, sentence fragments, subject/verb agreement, spelling, passive vs active voice, along with any other errors of clarity.
If she notices obvious and repetitious construction errors while proofreading your work, she will provide a few simple writing techniques or tools for you to practice. As you begin to use the writing tools, you'll find that articulating your argument becomes easier, thus, making your essay clearer and more concise.
It is this proactive, focused and knowledgeable approach that actually enables you to become a better writer and increase your own grades. You have the power to change how you write, and in turn, change the outcome of your marker's response to your writing.
The rates for our student packages are considerate of students' budgets. K-J always appreciates and respects the privacy of her clients and guarantees not to discuss the content of your essays or assignments with anyone.
K-J offers students a free 30 minute writing assessment, particularly if you are concerned about the feedback you are receiving in regards to your writing style. All you need to do is send her a copy of your essay (include the essay question), or another piece of writing (if you're a creative writer) that best reflects how you write. She will then analyse your writing and provide you with a report.
The short report will highlight any obvious errors or writing habits that could easily be changed by simply relearning a related writing concept or technique. K-J will then provide you with information, and/or links to further information for more in-depth study. You may find after correcting any habitual writing errors your essays become easier to write.
K-J may address the following:
Incomplete thoughts or ideas
Inconsistent use of point of view
Poor spelling or capitalisation, or
Poor comprehension of the requirements or essay question
